Ayllu Solor · San Pedro de Atacama

A family, an ayllu and a vineyard in the driest desert on earth

We're in Ayllu Solor, five and a half kilometers from the center of San Pedro. That distance is what defines us: at night you can't hear a thing, you can see the whole sky, and there's room to plant.

Because that's the other thing that makes us different. We have our own vineyard and winery in the driest desert on earth, and the vines bear fruit. Every hotel in San Pedro sells the same geysers; we also have a vineyard you can walk through.

We work with Atacameño families from the ayllu: who bakes the bread, who guides on the salt flat, who weaves. A trip here leaves something behind where it happens, and that's how you really get to know the place.
